There's nothing like the peace of mind of living in a safe community. In Idaho Falls, the crime rate is less than half of the national average. With only 54,000 people, there is no real traffic congestion in Idaho Falls, and about half of the population commutes less than 15 minutes to work. With a median home price of less than $170,000 you get more house for your money and you can afford to live where you like: a master-planned community, the historic downtown area, an established subdivision, a new home, or in nearby small towns. And getting in and out of town is a cinch with easy access by car (I-15 or Highway 20), air (Idaho Falls Municipal Airport), train (Orient Express tours), and bus (Greyhound and Trailways).
Idaho Falls is also a major retail and shopping hub for Eastern Idaho and Western Wyoming. In addition to Target, Sam's Club, ShopKo, Wal-Mart, Kmart, Fred Meyer, Sportsman's Warehouse and much more, Idaho Falls is also home to the Grand Teton Mall, containing four major department stores and over 75 specialty stores.
